I think we should keep both covers as they illustrate two different releases of the album in different times and places and they are totally different design. Also this is fully in line with the infobox album template suggested usage and this version in particular is important to illustrate the cover used in most of the US releases as well as in the most recent CD releases (the one I own by example). On the other side the original cover was mostly used in european LP releases.
