English: Reverse side of the Medal of Honor awarded to William Pelham during the American Civil War for service on the USS Hartford in the Battle of Mobile Bay on August 5, 1864. The medal is the Navy Type 1 Medal of Honor with fouled anchor and would have been suspended with the first style ribbon; blue with red and white vertical stripes. Collection of Curator Branch, Naval History and Heritage Command. Accession 72-195-A; 2"H x 2" W
