Summary

Description Political cartoon from the 28 October 1900 issue of The Anaconda Standard (Montana) depicting the multimillionaire William A. Clark bribing state legislators to vote for him to become the United States Senator from Montana. Clark is throwing wads of money through hotel transom windows. John H. Geiger, a state senator from Flathead County, had testified before the Senate Committee on Privileges and Elections in Washington, DC, that a package containing $1100 had been, he believed, thrown through the transom to the floor of his hotel room in Helena.
