Summary

Description
English: Looking west-northwest at the Willard InterContinental hotel in Washington, D.C., in the United States. The 12-story Beaux-Arts structure (lighter-colored building in foreground, right) was designed by architect Henry Janeway Hardenbergh and opened in 1901. The Willard Annex (shorter, darker building in the middle with round windows on the upper floors) is from a concept by Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates, with implementing design by Vlastimil Koubek. It was built in 1986.

The dark building with rectangular windows just beyond the Willard Annex is the W Hotel, designed by Carrère and Hastings and completed in 1918.

In rearground left is the United States Treasury Building. It was designed by Ammi B. Young, with the East Wing and Central sections constructed between 1836 and 1842.
