Description Photo portrait of Will Scott (1893-1964), author of The Cherrys series of children's books, and of the stage play The Limping Man, which was made into two films. The image is believed to have been a publicity shot for one of his 1920s-1930s novels or short stories, between the wars before his hair went grey, and before he went into uniform for World War II Home Guard duties.
