English: Wight Ryder I, a catamaran owned by Wightlink leaving Portsmouth for the Isle of Wight. This photo was taken shortly after the boat had made a "U-turn" after leaving her berth. The wake left by the vessel before she made the turn can be seen in the foreground of the photo.
Information about the vessel may be found at IMO 9512537. A ship can change name and flag state through time, but the IMO number remains the same through the hull's entire lifetime. As a result, it can be useful to identify a ship by using the IMO number.
