Summary
[edit]Description | Picture of Michel Majerus' painting what looks good today may not look good tomorrow (2000) at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, in 2022. A painting composed of six colored circles, arranged in two sideways triangle formations, with text on top of, overlapping, and inside the circles, all against a white background with what appear to be small slashes of color throughout. The circles are variously monochromatic or outlined with a different color, and are rendered in lime green, orange, multiple shades of pink and red, and a single black circle. The first and most complete lines of text read "what looks good today may not look good tomorrow," which is spliced and repeated once more among the other circles. The black circle, in the lower right, contains white text reading "NOW'S THE TIME," the only capitalized text in the work. |
