English: Eastern end of Wasson Bluff where reddish sandstones of the McCoy Brook Formation (Lower Jurassic: Hettangian to Pliensbachian) are onlapping on the dark brown weathering Hettangian North Mountain Basalt. Since all the strata are inclined by about 30° to the west and due to the angle of shooting, the onlapping of the sandstones is not well visible in the picture. North shore of the Minas Basin, about 7 km SE from Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, Canada. Photo was taken at low tide.
