Summary

Description
English: A gyrotron, a microwave vacuum tube powering the Wendelstein 7-X experimental Stellerator fusion reactor in Greifswald, Germany. It generates 1 megawatt of microwave radiation at 140 GHz. The device is mounted in the basement of the experimental building and fully operational. In total 12 such gyrotrons will be installed to heat the stellarator plasma.
