Français : Vue extérieure de Burghley House, avril 2017, résidence de Sir William Cecil, 1er baron Burghley, et Lord trésorier de la reine Elizabeth, entre 1558 et 1587 sur le modèle des appartements privés de Richmond Palace. Elle a ensuite été la résidence de ses descendants, les comtes et marquis d'Exeter, et depuis 1961, est détenue par une fiducie de bienfaisance fondée par la famille. La demeure est l'un des principaux exemples de l'architecture élisabéthaine du  XVI
