DescriptionVillage Green, Woodcote, London (geograph 1888055).jpg
English: Village Green, Woodcote: A rustic view, but still within the London Borough of Croydon. Woodcote is a posh suburb laid out by William Webb in 1901-20. Very large houses, though not particularly architecturally distinguished. Webb's idea was that gardens be designed first as "...the house is but the complement of the garden..."
