Čeština: Viliam Žingor (* 30. července 1912 Bystrička – 18. prosince 1950, Bratislava) byl slovenský voják a partyzán, hrdina Slovenského národního povstání a poválečný politik KSS, v 50. letech 20. století jedna z obětí komunistického teroru. Po druhé světové válce obdržel Řád Slovenského národního povstání I. třídy. Prezident Antonín Novotný jej politicky přehodnotil, prezident Ludvík Svoboda občansky a právně částečně rehabilitoval. Václav Havel jej plně uznal, zviditelnil a povýšil do hodnosti generála a udělil mu Řád M. R. Štefánika III. třídy.
English: Viliam Žingor (* 30 July 1912, Bystrička - 18 December 1950, Bratislava) was a Slovak soldier and partisan, hero of the Slovak National Uprising and a post-war politician of the Communist Party of Slovakia, one of the victims of communist terror in the 1950s. After the Second World War he received the Order of the Slovak National Uprising, First Class. He was politically re-evaluated by President Antonín Novotný and partially rehabilitated by President Ludvík Svoboda in civil and legal terms. Václav Havel fully recognised him, made him visible and promoted him to the rank of general and awarded him the Order of M. R. Štefánik, 3rd class. |
