Summary

Description
English: V/Line Clyde Engineering 'S' Class 1,750 hp Co-Co No.Sd308 'Sir Redmond Barry' at the Victoria Railway Museum, North Williamstown, 2 April 2016. A license-built version of the GM (EMD) 'F7' Bo-Bo but with different bogies. 18 were built in 1957-61: 10 for 5'3" lines with 1,750 hp EMD 16-567C V16 engines in 1957-58 and 8 for standard gauge lines with 1,810 hp engines in 1960-61, although the latter were later converted to the broad gauge. They are essentially the same as the 'B' Class Co-Co's but single-ended. Withdrawals began in 1987.
