The historian Simon Schama, in his history of the French Revolution "Citizens: A Chronicle of the French Revolution" (Alfred A. Knopf, Inc., New York, 1989) states that the "Vendemiaire" illustration here depicted is by "Salvatore Tresca (after Laffitte)".
