DescriptionVale of Pickering - geograph.org.uk - 415976.jpg
English: Vale of Pickering View of typical Vale of Pickering country. As the bed of an ancient pro-glacial lake the vale is very flat. The area was drained in the 19th century to create excellent farmland. The view shows a footbridge over Welldale Beck, a stream issuing as a spring at the base of the North York Moors.
