Description Melbourne, Vic. 1945-08-24. Group Captain Peter Jeffrey DSO DFC (extreme left) and two other senior RAAF Officers leading the RAAF contingent of the combined march of RAAF and WAAAF personnel through the city area to commemorate Victory in the Pacific (VP) Day. After marching down Collins Street, the senior officers have turned into Swanston Street to pass the saluting base in front of the City Hall.
