Summary

Description
English: Clipping from Utrecht Psalter, showing a man holding a cythara, with a cithara and an organ on the ground. The depictions of the cytharas in the Utrecht Psalter have been used as evidence in the 1911 Encyclopedia Britannica that the guitar was developed from modifying the cithara-lyre.
