English: The U.S. Navy amphibious assault ship USS Valley Forge (LPH-8) transporting Douglas A-4 Skyhawk attack planes in addition to her usual complement of Sikorsky UH-34D Seahorse helicopters, circa 1965. She also has cargo and vehicles stowed on her flight deck, near the island.
