Description
English: The U.S. Army Transport USAT General J. H. McRae, circa 1946-1950. This ship served as USS General J. H. McRae (AP-149) from 1944 to 1946 and USNS General J. H. McRae (T-AP-149) from 1950 to 1968 (laid up since 1954).
Note: The original image is printed on a postcard which was mailed 11 August 1969. The ship's markings strongly indicate that the photograph was taken about two decades earlier, while she was in U.S. Army service.
