Summary
[edit]This is a screenshot of the title screen of MChess Pro version 8 taken from a youtube video which in turn is a capture of a Spanish version of the software. The image has been very slightly edited removing a Spanish language prompt to move to the next screen - this was removed for clarity. It meets the fair use guidelines in three ways: first that it contains references to the fact that the program was the world chess computer champion in 1995 which is important to the critical analysis of the program's playing strength, second, it basically contains only text which could be viewed as promotional material for the software, and third, it is a software screenshot relevant to the critical commentary of the now dated nature of the software, and the fact that the chess engine is embedded in a DOS graphical user interface. The image also provides additional information about the author of the opening book for MChess Pro.

Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1) |
This image is specific to the software in a way in which another image would not be. It is therefore not replaceable. |
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) | It's the title screen. And as it's a DOS program it's basically text. The text includes the name of the program, some information about it including the programmer and who was responsible for the opening book, and some promotional content about being world chess computer champion in 1995. |
