Summary
| Description |
Trekking 4 days from Ganden Monastery to Samye Monastery. This was our campsite on night 2 of the Ganden to Samye trek in Tibet at an elevation of 4800m. It would snow off and on, melting again quickly each time in the strong sun. We shared the valley with a couple families of nomad herders. You can see one of their yaks wandering by for a closer look. We also temporarily adopted two very cute, but troublesome puppies. They would take anything not tied down, but also had ADD so wouldn't take them very far before something else caught their attention. It was bliss. I could have stayed there for weeks. |
