Summary

Description
English: Scanning transmission electron microscope images of Arantiochytrium limacinum that are either wildtype (A and C) or mutant (B and D) for lipid production. Images A and B are showing a group of cells, while C and D are showing singular cells. Mutants for lipid accumulation are denoted as LAS mutants, where oil bodies appear as black spots. Elements such as V = vacuole, M = mitochondria, N = nucleus, and G = Golgi apparatus. All these images are referenced according to a 2 micrometer scale bar.
