DescriptionThe first Witton-le-Wear railway station, 2. 04 07 2018.jpg
English: View north of the surviving buildings from the first Witton-le-Wear railway station, opened in 1847. This station's location on a steep curved section of the line made it a difficult place from which to start a train and, hence, it was replaced by the second station (located further to the east) during the 1880s. The buildings are part of a private house.
