English: The Royal Hop Pole, Tewkesbury Having been closed for some time, Tewkesbury's Royal Hop Pole reopened this week after being refurbished having been purchased by the JD Wetherspoons pub chain. The reopening was severely delayed when the building was flooded by the floods of July 2007. The Royal Hop Pole is mentioned in Charles Dickens's 'Pickwick Papers'.
