DescriptionThe Duke of Kent Building, C Surrey University - geograph.org.uk - 1745530.jpg
English: The Duke of Kent Building, C Surrey University Housing the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, this building was opened on 13 March 2000 by the Duke of Kent.
Designed by architects Nicholas Grimshaw & Partners, the landmark 5-storey metal-clad building is a striking feature of the University campus and looks like a ship taking off from the hillside. The 7,500 square metre metal and glass structure, which cost around £12 million to construct, includes a central glazed atrium providing light into the deep plan space.
