Summary
[edit]Description |
This is a graphic showing the apparent sizes of the Galilean satellites from Jupiter's "surface" (its equatorial radius), compared to the apparent size of the Sun. The units are in arcseconds, and were derived from the formula [(d/D)*57.295]*3600, where d is the diameter, D the distance from the surface, and 57.295 the approximate number of degrees in a radian, the final product multiplied by 3600, the number of arcseconds in a degree. |
