Summary

Description
English: The engraving depicts Teresa of Ávila's heart being pierced by an angelic arrow. Another angel offers her a crown, while a ray of light descending from one of Jesus's stigmata shines on the saint, who is standing on a globe. Nine spears are pointing at Teresa, who is holding a crucifix and is wearing a rosary. The image is designed by Johann Andreas Wolff and engraved by Elias Christoph Heiss and serves as the frontispiece of Quirinus a Sanctissima Trinitate, [Teutsch vorgestelte] Spanische Heldin. Munich, [1714]. The caption states: "Dise Cron sollest dir erobern."
