Summary
[edit]Description |
This is an image of t.A.T.u. wearing their iconic anti-war t-shirts that they wore on their US media tour in 2003. This is a photo that I would like to attach to the Wikipedia article about the famous and controversial slogan emblazoned on the shirt, which was a major event impacting the group's international success, especially in the United States. The photograph originally appeared on the group's official website, which has been deleted. The version I am uploading is presumably lower quality than the original. As the article is about the iconic slogan, which originally appeared on these shirts, the photo is necessary to show the subject matter of the article. While the article is about the slogan itself, and technically not the t-shirts, the t-shirts are the origin of the slogan and the slogan became popularized through the shirts and their associated television appearances. I would liken this image to the one of Ginger Spice's iconic Union Jack Dress, which appears on the Wikipedia article for same. |
