Description
English: Surgical Code for Catholic Hospitals, banning abortion ("the destruction of foetal life") and sterilization. A single-page document, dated 1921. Attributed to Michael P. Bourke, Chairman of the Ethical Committee of the Catholic Hospital Association. Approved ("nihil obstat") by official censors, and signed with the "imprimatur" of Michael James Gallagher, Bishop of Detroit.
