DescriptionStrouden, postbox No. BH8 279, Castle Lane West - geograph.org.uk - 882095.jpg
English: Type C Elizabeth II post box in Castle Lane West, Strouden, Bournemouth. It is outside Bradpole Road post office at the corner of Bradpole Road (676523). It is post box № BH8 279.
In early 2001 the Tesco bomber posted a ransom demand from this post box. Police noticed that the envelope containing his demand had burn marks, and they connected this with the fact that this postbox had suffered fire damage. Eventually CCTV mounted above the box produced an image of the blackmailer posting a letter here.
