DescriptionStation site at Ystrad Meurig - geograph.org.uk - 499020.jpg
English: Station site at Ystrad Meurig The station was named Strata Florida after the nearby abbey. Here the Manchester and Milford Railway, after over 3km in a straight line over Cors Caron, turned sharply to the left and headed for Aberystwyth. The "main line" was intended to turn right to head for the Cambrian Mountains and Llanidloes, but was never built. The line is now a nature trail.
