English: 27 May 1973 - Stanier 8F 2-8-0 No.48518 at Woodham Bros scrap yard, Barry.
Built Doncaster, 1944 for the LNER as an 'O6' class. Transferred to the LMS in 1947. Withdrawn June 1965 and finally scrapped in 2013. However, bits live on, including in the 45551 Unknown Warrior project. In early 2017 the boiler barrel of 48518 was acquired by Greg Wilson who is the Operations Manager on the Churnet Valley Railway. The barrel will be used on classmate 48173.
