Description
English: Standard of the Free French Government of Chad under Pierre-Olivier Lapie, November 1940–November 1942. Although Chad is landlocked, this particular flag was based on a jack of the Free French Navy, and was created for Lapie by sailors' wives. See Lucien Phillippe, "Les emblèmes de la France Libre et de la Résistance en France de 1940 à 1945", in Comunicaciones del XI Congreso Internacional de Vexilología, 1985, pp. 267, 275.
