English: St Rollox Open Day 1981 (more) Unfortunately the photo is a bit blurred. However, this was an unusual sight on the railway scene in Scotland - the appearance of a Class 44 at the 1981 open day, parked in front of the Class 37 in the previous photo. I think this is 44 008 which had moved up to the Strathspey Railway at Aviemore around this time, after the class had been withdrawn from BR. |
