Der Maler Friedrich Herlin hat dort Bilder zur Jakobus-Legende gemalt und in diesem Bild den mittelalterlichen Rothenburger Marktplatz integriert. Ist der Altar geschlossen, wird die Stadtansicht auf der angrenzenden Tafel des linken Flügels weitergeführt.

The paintings of Friedrich Herlin show scenes of the legend of James and integrated the medieval Rothenburg market square into this picture. When the altar is closed, the view of the city is continued on the adjacent panel of the left wing.
