Size: 3.1 x 1.8 x 1.5 cm.
The world's finest red spinels are associated with the finest rubies in Mogok, Burma. This glassy and gemmy, cherry red spinel octahedron measures about 9mm across and is aesthetically perched on contrasting white matirx. It is exceptionally bright and lustrous. Jack purchased this specimen from now-deceased California collector and dealer J.P. Cand in the late 1990s. Ex. Jack Halpern Collection.
