The use of the film poster illustration will not affect the value of the original work or limit the copyright holder's rights or ability to distribute the original. In particular, copies could not be used to make illegal copies of the film. In fact, it inadvertently increases value of the film by allowing for greater awareness and interest due to the impressive characterization of the novel's main character, George Smiley, by Sir Alec Guinness. |
