Norsk bokmål: Ruin av Skeidi kirke ("Olavskirken") fra middelalderen, innviet ca. 1150. Kirken var bygd i romansk-normannisk stil og ble sentrum for Olavsdyrkingen i Gimsøy klosterområde. I 1846 ble den gamle kirken delvis revet slik at steinen kunne brukes som fundament for den nye kirken og til bygging av en mur rundt kirkegården.
English: Ruin of Skeidi church, a mediaeval church dedicated to St. Olav, inaugurated ca. 1150. The church was built Romanesque-Norman architectural style and became the centre of Olav worship in the region. In 1846 the old church was partly demolished so its stones could be used in the foundations of the new church as well as for walls surrounding the churchyard.
