Summary

Description
English: The evolution of dinosaurs in the Triassic is unclear, but one possibility is that the silesaurids were basal ornithischians. Silesaurus was lightly built and grew to about 2.3 m in length. Evidence suggests it had an herbivorous or insectivorous diet, potentially filling a gap in the transition to the strictly herbivorous ornithischians of the Jurassic and Cretaceous.
