English: A road sign on the A55 on the Welsh side of the Wales-England border, near Queensferry warning: 'BE AWARE: WELSH COVID RULES APPLY'.
Wales had different rules and laws to England, and these warnings referred to the fact that no one from England was allowed to visit wales unless the journey was 'essential'. Fines of up to £1,000 were imposed on people visiting their 2nd homes, beaches or mountain walking, with Police blocks on the border for months on end.
