English: Dr. Shri Dattatreya Narayan alias Appasaheb Dharmadhikari has given a concrete shape to Dr. Shri Nanasaheb’s thoughts and teachings. An increased quantum of social reformation was made possible by his constant efforts. In fact, a sapling germinated by Dr. Nanasaheb under adverse circumstances was preserved, nurtured and developed into a gigantic tree splitting its branches in every direction of human life.

Dr. Appasaheb is the eldest son of Dr. Nanasaheb. He was born in the village of Revdanda, Taluka Alibag, District Raigad on 14th May 1946. He was brought up under the influence of his grandfather, Shri Vishnu Anant Dharmadhikari and under the guidance of his father Dr. Nanasaheb. The legacy of social awakening, therefore, was naturally inherited by Dr. Appasaheb. Indeed, he could carry out his task with the same grit and determination, combined with equally potent loyalty, eagerness and belongingness.

With the sole intention of making the world perceive the thoughts of Dr. Nanasaheb, Dr. Appasaheb founded “Dr. Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan”. This foundation is committed to dispassionate social service.

Dr. Appasaheb has been spending his entire life for social awakening without any personal gains. Many institutions have taken note of his work to award and felicitate him from time to time.
