Shigemi tube used in many protein NMR spectroscopy applications, fully assembled with sample. Plunger/insert is secured to outer tube with parafilm, and this sample has an adhesive label around the parafilm/outer tube (some users prefer to label the insert near the top). This tube has the shorter "bottom-length" of 8 mm suitable for NMR spectrometers manufactured by both Varian and Bruker.
