Original file (2,816 × 2,112 pixels, file size: 2.47 MB, MIME type: image/jpeg)
Summary
[edit]This is a separated .50 BMG jacket from a regular ball round (full metal jacket) It was recovered from a range after passing through a 4x4 post and a simulated human target. The core and a further 15 percent of the jacket was not recovered.
The most intact part is the rear of the jacket, where you can see the slightly deformed hole where the core is swaged into the jacket.
