Description
English: Senate chamber at the Rhode Island State House -- the capitol building of that Eastern Seaboard state. It houses the Rhode Island General Assembly and the offices of the governor and other high state officials. Designed by the New York architectural firm of McKim, Mead, and White and constructed from 1895 to 1904, it is Rhode Island's seventh state house and the second in Providence. The building underwent a significant renovation in the late 1990s.
