Summary

Description
English: Congressman Scott Murphy (D), of New York's 20th congressional district. He won the 2009 special election in the district; the seat became open when Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (former Represenatative from the 20th district) replaced Hillary Clinton, who joined the Obama Administartion as the United States Secretary of State. Gillibrand was appointed by Governor David Paterson.
