DescriptionSaudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Visits London (40712545161).jpg
Today i watched a small fleet of 3 transit type vans with illuminated welcome signs drive round and round Hyde park corner in central London..Quite an unusual sight The vans all appeared to be driven by Arab looking gentlemen which made me think it was more a self promotional exercise than one put on by the UK government..
Updated.. Photos of the 32-year-old prince are located at prominent sites, including the route to Heathrow airport. Other ads shows the British and Saudi flags together with the slogan “United Kingdom's”: Financed and paid by the Saudi Arabians?*
Apparently a preliminary arms deal was struck today for a number of fighter jets ( Saudi Arabia signs preliminary deal to buy 48 Typhoon jets worth up to £10bn from the UK: Source:Sky News) protesters have been protesting the sales and the bombing of Yemen by Saudi Arabia in Whitehall over the last few days.... I wonder if we had to get permission for the sales from Brussels ( Not for much longer... ; )
The ads are sponsored by Arabian Enterprise Incubators, a consultancy founded by Adam Hosier, a former employee of BAE Systems, the defence company.
BAE coincidently are the company responsible for selling the aircraft....
*Adam Hosier declined to answer questions about whether AEI’s ad campaign had been funded by the Saudi government.
