Summary

Description
English: The recently completed Cottage Hospital at the south-east corner of Bath and Fourth Avenue (now Junipero Street) looking compass north. Designed by architect Peter J. Barber (1830-1905), the hospital cost nearly $11,000 to build and furnish with local professionals and merchants reducing fees and discounting cost of materials. Taking slightly over two years to build, the hospital had its grand opening on December 8, 1891.
