Among these were Fr. Cullen House at number 27, housing St Francis Xavier Pioneer Club the local branch of the Pioneer Total Abstinence Association (where Fr. Cullen founded the movement), and St. Therese's Girls Club House at number 28, housing Legion of Mary facilities.[2] The Legion of Mary work with the Dominican Sisters and the Jesuits.
