Summary

Description
English: Saint Andrew the Apostle Church[1] is a Roman Catholic Church in Bel-Air Village[2], Makati City[3]. It is one of the known Modern Edifices designed by Leandro V. Locsin[4] in Makati City. This Parish is dedicated to Saint Andrew[5]the Apostle, the patron saint of Metro Manila and Bel-Air Village. Its Parish Territories are Bel-Air Village (Barangay Bel-Air), San Miguel Village (Barangay Poblacion), Rizal Village and Santiago Village (Barangay Valenzuela), Legazpi Village (Barangay Bel-Air), and Salcedo village (Barangay San Lorenzo).[6]Rev. Msgr. Peter Eymard Mercelino "Dennis" Sison Odiver - MSGR. Emmanuel V. Sunga Immediate Past Parish Priest , Makati City #62 Constellation St., N. Garcia St. cor. Kalayaan Ave in front of J. Romero & Associates. Bel-Air II, Makati City[7] Built by National Artist for Architecture Leandro Locsin in 1968, the design of this parish church in Bel-Air Makati is symbolic of the manner the martyr died crucified on an X-shaped cross. The butterfly shaped floor plan emanates from this cruciform. Many other symbolic features mark the tent-like structure, including the giant chandelier over the altar which serves as a halo over the copper cross by National Artist for Visual Art, Vicente Manansala.[8][9] Coordinates: 14°33'57"N 121°1'25"E It belongs to the [10]Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila Vicariate of St Peter and Paul
