Description
English: This monument commemorates the lives of the Japanese, American and Philippine soldiers and local residents who fell in this area during World War II.
日本語: 第二次世界大戦のとき、この地に斃れた日米比三国の将兵および現地住民の死を悼み、その冥福を記念してこの碑を建てる。1945年2月から6月に及んだサラクサク峠の攻防戦において日本軍の戦死者4600銘 米軍の戦死者3200名を算し、また多くの現地住民が犠牲となった。
